All those traveling to this place can enjoy all the three elements of tourism-sightseeing, beaches, and backwaters, which are a big reason for traveling to Southern India. However, there are certain disadvantages of traveling to Southern India and we would like to discuss them below.

The first and foremost disadvantage of traveling to Southern India is the climate. Even if you are traveling to the east or west coast of the country, the weather conditions are not good all year- round. There are certain monsoons in the month of February and June and it becomes extremely humid and hot in these months. Therefore, the best time and region to plan your trip is between the month of March and May, when the weather is pleasant, but not as hot as the monsoons.

The second major disadvantage of traveling to Southern India is the language barrier. Although English is the mother tongue of the majority of people in India, there are several parts of the country where locals do not speak English as their first language. In the state of Tamil Nadu, for instance, Tamil learners are required to take English classes.
